Robert J. Buwa

Robert J. Buwa ~ Mishawaka, 100, passed away April 21, 2024.  He was born July 25, 1923 in Winamac, IN moving to Mishawaka as a young boy.

Mr. Buwa is survived by his children; Pamela Kernodle, Robert A. Buwa (Martha) and stepdaughter Vicki Reed (Rick).  Grandchildren; Kimberly Bodell (John), Ted Knutson (Charlotte), Amanda Roe (Tim), Courtney Fiander (Kolten) along with great-grandchildren; Rachel, Kieran, Sienna, McKenzie, Kaya, and Emery.

Robert was preceded in death by 2 wives: Betty Jane (mother of Pam and Bob) and Mary (mother of Vicki).

He graduated from Mishawka Hight School in 1942.  Upon graduation he enlisted in the Navy serving during WWII.  Returning from the war, he held jobs at several area companies ending his working career with the US Post Office from where he retired.

Visitation will be Friday, April 26, 2024, from 10:00 am ~ 12:00 p.m. at Palmer Funeral Homes ~ Bubb Chapel, 3910 N. Main Street, Mishawaka, IN 46545.  Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, the family requests you make a memorial donation to a charity of your choice, or to Harmonycares Hospice, 5838 W.
